DUBAI: The Dubai Police welcomed tactical team leaders from various countries around the world who arrived in the UAE to participate in the UAE SWAT Challenge.

During their visit, they were briefed on the most prominent police services and initiatives aimed at enhancing security and working towards the happiness of community members.

The SWAT leaders visited the General Department of Criminal Investigation, where they listened to explanations about the various police services provided by both the Tourist Police Department and the Anti-Cyber Crimes Department, which are aimed at promoting community happiness and enhancing security and safety.

Additionally, the SWAT leaders toured the Command and Control Centre at the General Department of Operations, where they were introduced to the patrol management and monitoring and dispatch system, which fulfils Dubai Police’s goal of rapid response to reports and distress calls. They also learned about the “Smart Security” prediction system, which relies on big data analytics, a first of its kind in the region.

The SWAT team leaders then proceeded to the Smart Police Station (SPS) at the Dubai Police HQ, where they were briefed on the services provided to the public in a smart and round-the-clock manner, without any human intervention.

Statement by the Syrian Ministry of Defense: “The US occupation forces launched a blatant aerial aggression this morning on a number of sites and towns in the eastern region of Syria, near the Syrian-Iraqi border. This aggression resulted in the martyrdom of a number of civilians and military personnel, as well as injuries to others, and caused significant damage to public and private property.

The area targeted by the US attacks in eastern Syria is the same area where the Syrian Arab Army is fighting the remnants of the terrorist organization ISIS. This confirms that the United States and its military forces are involved and aligned with this organization, working to revive it as their field arm in Syria and Iraq through all dirty means.

The aggression of the US occupation forces this morning has no justification other than an attempt to weaken the capabilities of the Syrian Arab Army and its allies in the fight against terrorism. However, the army, which has been able to defeat various terrorist organizations over the years, will continue its steadfastness and its principle of defending Syria and its people, striking all organizations no matter how hard their sponsors and supporters try to hinder this goal.

The occupation of US forces in parts of Syrian territory cannot continue, and the General Command of the Army and Armed Forces affirms its commitment to continue its war against terrorism until it is completely eliminated and its determination to liberate the entire Syrian territory from all terrorism and occupation.”

ABU DHABI: The National Guard Command, represented by the National Search and Rescue Centre and the UAE Coast Guard Division/Third Squadron, in coordination with the Air Wing Department of the Ministry of Interior, carried out a search and rescue mission for two people in their thirties of Asian nationality who were missing at sea after their boat sank due to fluctuating weather conditions.

By combining resources and coordinating efforts, the search and rescue teams were able to locate the two missing people, who were suffering from severe fatigue and exhaustion, despite the weather conditions.

They were evacuated by a Ministry of Interior’s helicopter and transported to Al Qassimi Hospital to receive necessary treatment.

The Social Nationalist Party – Yemen condemned the American aggression against Syria and Iraq, which led to the killing a number of martyrs and the injury of a number of others. In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the party considered this aggression a blatant violation of Syrian , Iraqi sovereignty and a violation of international laws and norms. He pointed out that this aggression will only strengthen the leadership, people and resistance in Iraq and Syria in their resistance position facing the occupying entity, and will represent a greater motivation towards adhering to the option of resistance until the liberation of all Palestinian, Syrian and Iraqi lands. The Social Nationalist Party affirmed its full stand and solidarity with the people and regimes of Syria and Iraq, pointing out that Yemen, just as it stood by the Palestinians and their resistance in Gaza, will not leave Syria and Iraq up for grabs by the Americans and the Zionists.

Joudayem: Celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Scout Movement in Libya began today, Saturday, in the Joudayem Forest in Al-Zawiya, with the participation of delegations from the countries of the Arab Maghreb Union.

In his speech, the Scout Leader and Director of the Joudayem Center for Scouts and Guides, Mouloud Saleh, welcomed the celebration of the guests from Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria and Mauritania, offering his warmest congratulations to the Scouts on the occasion of the seventieth anniversary of the founding of the Scout Movement in Libya.

The delegations participating in the celebration toured the exhibition of scouting collectibles and learned about the beginning of the launch of the scouting movement in Libya from the date of its founding to the present time and the works that the movement presented in the liberation war in Algeria.

During the celebration, certificates of appreciation were distributed to the Scout leaders who played a prominent role in the movement’s journey.

Statement issued by the Islamic Resistance in Iraq: “Continuing our approach in resisting the American occupation forces in Iraq and the region, and in response to the massacres committed by the Zionist entity against our people in Gaza, the Islamic Resistance fighters in Iraq attacked the “Harir” occupation base in Erbil, northern Iraq, on Saturday, 3-2-2024, using unmanned aerial vehicles. The Islamic Resistance affirms its continued efforts to target the enemy’s strongholds.”
