Qaderbooh: Reducing administrative corruption in state institutions will be a priority for our tasks.

The new head of the Administrative Control Authority, Abdullah Mohamed Qaderbooh, confirmed that the success of the authority’s work and scaling -down administrative corruption in all state institutions will be a priority for his duties.

This came in a speech he had during his first meeting that he held today in his office in Tripoli with the directors of general and subsidiary departments and offices of the authority; This is to discuss the strategic plan for the year (2022-2025) and discuss its implementation mechanism.

“Qaderbooh” also stressed that the application of the law will be on everyone and that any correspondence issued by the presidency of the authority will not be considered if it violates the law.

The meeting reviewed the most prominent difficulties and obstacles facing the authority during the performance of its duties entrusted to it in accordance with its establishment Law No. (20) of 2013, its amendments, and its executive regulations.

The authority said in a previous publication that Qaderbooh assumed today, Monday, his duties as head of the Administrative Control Authority, based on Parliament Resolution No. (13) of 2021, regarding the appointment of a president for the authority, and on the ruling issued by the Tripoli Court of Appeal No. 1176/2021, which was included in the letter President of the High Council of State dated July 2 of the current year, in which he called on the concerned authorities to deal with the new president exclusively.

Royal Court Chief talks development with Russeifa local leaders

As part of royal directives, Royal Court Chief Yousef Issawi, held more meetings Monday with local leaders and representatives of Russeifa to discuss development needs of their district in the Zarqa Governorate. Today’s meeting was one in a series the Royal Court Chief held recently with Russeifa representatives to follow up on a visit by His Majesty King Abdullah to the district on June 26. During the meeting, which was attended by His Majesty the King’s Adviser for Tribal Affairs, Atef Hajaya and Zarqa Governor Hassan Jabour, Issawi noted that His Majesty highlights the need to alleviate living pressures on citizens and improve services, particularly in health and education sectors, and find job opportunities to reduce the problems of poverty and unemployment. Issawi, who heads the committee on implementation of the King’s initiatives, pointed to Russeifa’s location and the opportunities available in the region to attract investments and launch projects in cooperation with the private sector. He said a number of Royal Initiative development and service projects had been launched in the region in the past years, pledging more projects in the next stage that generate jobs for the youth. The attendees commended the King’s efforts, noting the importance of the royal visit and the King’s keenness to reach out to community’s across the country and check on their needs.

Sabadell describes the Presidential Council’s decision to establish a financial oversight committee as a very positive step.

The European Union Ambassador to Libya, Jose Sabadell, described the Presidential Council’s decision to establish a High Financial Oversight Committee as a very positive step.

“Establishment of a Financial Oversight committee by Presidential Council is a very positive step to ensure Libya’s resources work for all Libyans and reinforce Unity.” Sabadell said in a tweet.

“Economy must become a driver for peace, not conflict.” He added.

MIKATI MEETS UNIFIL COMMANDER

Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati held talks with UNIFIL Commander Aroldo Lazaro, whom he met at the Grand Serail on Monday in the presence of Caretaker Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib. “Discussions touched on the security situation in the south,” said Bou Habib following the meeting. “[Lazaro] relayed to us the Israeli side’s demand to remove the tent,” he revealed. “Our response was that we want them to pull back from the north of Ghajar, which is considered a Lebanese territory,” he continued, adding that Lebanon has recorded around 18 Israeli violations of the border. on UN Resolution 1701 and the renewal of the UNIFIL’s mandate, Bou Habib said: “The UN Secretary General’s report will be discussed on July 20, and the UNIFIL term will be renewed during the last week of August. The PM has informed them that I will correspond with the Lebanese delegation in New York.”

A Farmer Injured By An IED In Diyala

A farmer was injured in an explosive device explosion, northeast of Baquba, the center of Diyala Governorate.

A security source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: “An explosive device exploded inside an orchard in the village of Zuhairat on the outskirts of Abi Saida district, and the explosion injured a farmer.”

He added, “A security force arrived in the area and took strict measures in anticipation of any emergency.”
