Apical Secures First Sustainability-Linked Loan Facilities of US$750 million

DUBAI, UAE, Oct. 12, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — Apical Group, a leading agri-business processor of palm oil and member of the RGE group of companies, has secured a US$750 million sustainability-linked loan from a syndicate of lenders. First Abu Dhabi Bank is the Mandate Lead Arranger Bank and Facility Agent for the loan. This is a first for Apical, and one of a few within the palm oil industry, where borrowing is tied to sustainability targets and performance.

The loan, issued to Apical’s units Apical Middle East and AAA Oils & Fats Pte Ltd, is structured as a two-year revolving credit and four-year term loan facilities. Under the facilities, Apical is committed to meeting improvement targets for a range of environmental, social and governance (ESG) metrics, as assessed by Environmental Resources Management, a London-headquartered global provider of environmental, health, safety, risk and social issues consulting services.

‫شي جين بينغ يُعلن لمّ الشمل ضرورة ملحة من أجل تجديد شباب الصين في الذكرى ثورة 1911

بكين، 11 أكتوبر 2021 /PRNewswire/ — منذ مائة وعشرة أعوام، أطلق الثوار الصينيون بقيادة الدكتور صن يات صن ثورة عام 1911، مما يمثل علامة فارقة في الرحلة الطويلة والشاقة لتحقيق تجديد شباب الصينيين الأمة.

وأشار الرئيس شي إلى أن البر الرئيسي يلتزم بالسياسات الأساسية لإعادة التوحيد السلمي ودولة واحدة ونظامان، ويتمسك بسياسة صين واحدة وتوافق عام 1992 ويعمل من أجل التنمية السلمية للعلاقات عبر المضيق.

وفي إشارة إلى أن الأمة الصينية لديها تقليد مشرف في معارضة الانقسام والحفاظ على الوحدة، أضاف أن “الانفصال الذي يستهدف” استقلال تايوان “هو أكبر عقبة أمام لم الشمل الوطني وخطر جسيم على النهضة الوطنية”.

كما شدد على أن مسألة تايوان شأن داخلي للصين ولا تقبل أي تدخل خارجي، وأعرب عن ثقته في أن “لم الشمل الكامل لبلادنا سوف تتحقق ويمكن أن تتحقق”.

الحتمية التاريخية

متلهفًا لمستقبل مشرق للأمة الصينية، كتب صن ذات مرة: “إذا اعتقدت أن شيئًا ما يمكن تحقيقه، حتى لو كان صعبًا مثل تحريك جبل أو تجفيف البحر، فسوف أحققه يومًا ما”.

Emirates announces A380 flypast over Dubai

DUBAI, Emirates Expo 2020 Dubai special livery aircraft will be performing two low level flypasts over Sheikh Zayed Road and the Expo 2020 Dubai site tomorrow morning, Wednesday 13 October and Thursday 14 October.

Opportunities for media and the public making their morning commute to spot the aircraft will approximately be between the hours of 5am to 8am (local time) across different vantage points on Sheikh Zayed Road and around Dubai Expo 2020 and its surrounding areas. The flypasts being conducted over the next two days will be for a special project to be revealed soon by the airline.

Emirates encourages the public to take photos and videos of the flypast of the special A380 livery, however, people are reminded not to put the flypast at risk by using drones and to comply with all GCAA guidelines pertaining to ‘no fly zones’ for unmanned aircraft/drones.

In September, Emirates introduced the bold Expo 2020 Dubai livery on its A380 aircraft. This eye-catching invitation to the Expo 2020 will be seen across the airline’s A380 network over the coming months.

SEHA provides integrated mental health training for its workforce

ABU DHABI, Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) has embarked on a training programme for its primary care providers in common mental health illnesses. This virtual training was delivered by regional and international experts.

This integrated mental health training programme for primary care aims to integrate psychiatry into primary care. The primary objective is to fill the gaps within the healthcare landscape and expand screening and intervention for psychiatry challenges, while simultaneously reducing the stigma that surrounds mental illness.

Topics discussed include management of psychotropic substances in primary care, positive psychology, psychiatry of aging and dementia, psychiatry for children and adolescents, psychosis and perinatal psychiatry, mood disorders, and major depressive disorders. The virtual seminars were coupled with workshops with simulated case discussions for the participating Primary care providers.

On this occasion, Dr. Wejdan Abdul Razzq Ahmed, Deputy Chief Medical Officer at Ambulatory Healthcare Services, said, “Our mission here at SEHA is to empower our healthcare professionals and provide opportunities to learn, develop and ultimately drive change across the healthcare community. This training initiative is yet another approach to support our employees and provide them the right set of tools to be able to evaluate and manage minor mental health disorders and understand when to refer the patient to the psychiatry department.”
