Abdullah Bin Zayed Discusses Regional Security with International Counterparts


Abu dhabi: H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, held phone calls with several foreign ministers to discuss the latest regional and international developments, following the Iranian missile attacks targeting the UAE and other countries in the region.



According to Emirates News Agency, Sheikh Abdullah engaged in discussions with Cho Hyun of South Korea, Ararat Mirzoyan of Armenia, Giorgos Gerapetritis of Greece, Lars L¸kke Rasmussen of Denmark, Gabriela Sommerfeld of Ecuador, and Dato Erywan Yusof of Brunei Darussalam.



The conversations focused on the implications of recent regional developments for stability, the global economy, and energy security. The ministers emphasized the importance of joint actions to support international efforts aimed at enhancing regional security and stability.



During the calls, Sheikh Abdullah and the ministers strongly condemned the Iranian missile attacks, labeling them a violation of international law and the United Nations Charter. They highlighted the right of affected countries to take necessary measures to protect their sovereignty and security.



The discussions also underlined the need for the international community to unite, intensify diplomatic efforts, and support peaceful dialogue to reinforce regional security. Sheikh Abdullah expressed gratitude for the solidarity and support shown to the UAE, affirming the safety of all residents and visitors and reiterating the UAE’s commitment to international cooperation for regional stability.
