Abu dhabi: H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, recently met with Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, the Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC), to discuss bilateral cooperation. According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting took place in Abu Dhabi and focused on enhancing collaboration between the UAE and the AUC to support development efforts in African countries. Sheikh Abdullah congratulated Youssouf on his new role and expressed his willingness to strengthen UAE-African relations across different sectors. Sheikh Abdullah emphasized the UAE's commitment to fostering cooperation with the AUC and building positive relations with African countries, aiming for sustainable development and economic growth. Both leaders also discussed regional and international developments, sharing their perspectives on various issues. The meeting was attended by Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, and Mohamed Salem Ahmed Al Rashdi, UAE Ambassad or to Ethiopia and the country's Permanent Representative to the African Union.
