ABU DHABI, The Abu Dhabi School of Government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi today. The signing took place during a meeting on the premises of Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi, in the presence of Professor Silvia Serrano, Vice-Chancellor of Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi, and Amal Al-Jabri, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi School of Government.
The MoU demonstrates the keenness of Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi and the Abu Dhabi School of Government to collaborate to develop educational programmes, scientific research and training initiatives that will benefit both institutions.
The purpose of this MoU is to foster collaboration between the two parties in various areas, as well as to create and deliver specific tailored accredited programmes, in line with Abu Dhabi’s vision and strategic needs in the fields of humanities, law, sciences, management, and economics. Under the umbrella of this MoU, the two parties will also organise seminars and joint workshops and will participate in conferences, activities and events of common interest.
Professor Silvia Serrano commented, “We are pleased to sign this MoU with the Abu Dhabi School of Government today as it aligns with our efforts to establish partnerships with organisations across different industries to exchange expertise and develop human capital by providing professionals with skills and knowledge in their respective fields. Furthermore, the initiative is in line with Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi’s mission to offer students and working professionals the highest standards of international higher education while providing educational programmes that are responsive to the job market.”
For her side, Amal Al Jabri said, “At the ADSG, we are keen to partner with the best local and international educational institutions to develop top-class training programmes and initiatives for Abu Dhabi Government employees and the wider professional community, as part of our commitment to enhancing the skills and expertise of Abu Dhabi’s workforce. We look forward to welcoming this strategic partnership.”
