Dubai: The Emergencies, Crises and Disasters Management Centre - Abu Dhabi (ADCMC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with eand UAE at GITEX Global 2025 in Dubai. The agreement is aimed at advancing Abu Dhabi's digital transformation and enhancing its crisis management capabilities through the development of innovative communications and technology solutions.
According to Emirates News Agency, the MoU was signed by Dr. Abdulla Hamarain Al Dhaheri, Executive Director of the Response and Recovery Sector at ADCMC, and Omar Abdulla Al Kaf, Senior Director and Head of Government Sales at eand UAE. The collaboration focuses on establishing reliable primary and backup systems for both wired and wireless connectivity to ensure consistent communication in all situations.
The partnership will involve the provision of cloud hosting solutions and the creation of data and control centres to support digital infrastructure needs. It will also incorporate the use of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies and connected devices to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency. Emphasis is placed on improving cybersecurity, big data analysis, and the development of advanced digital solutions to meet future challenges.
Dr. Abdulla Al Dhaheri highlighted that the collaboration aligns with the Abu Dhabi Government's vision of fostering innovation and deploying cutting-edge technologies in artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure. He emphasized the strategic importance of equipping national talent with future-oriented skills through training programmes and awareness sessions, as well as developing digital mechanisms to enhance emergency response capabilities.
Abdulla Al Ahmed, Chief Government and VVIP Relations Officer at eand UAE, stated that the agreement will bolster Abu Dhabi's crisis management ecosystem with resilient connectivity, sovereign cloud hosting, and secure data and control-centre capabilities. The partnership aims to enable faster information sharing and seamless coordination, facilitating data-driven decision-making in real time.
