AED300 mn Kromberg & Schubert’s Middle East plant inaugurated at Fujairah Free Zone

FUJAIRAH, Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, the Middle East plant of Kromberg & Schubert was inaugurated at the Fujairah Free Zone today.

Sharif Al Awadhi, Director-General of the Fujairah Free Zone, said that the company’s selection of Fujairah as its new operations centre is a new achievement for the emirate that will enhance its stature as a global destination for international companies.

The company invested AED300 million in the plant, which will have 3,500 workers and will be built on an area measuring 55,000 square metres. It will have an annual manufacturing capacity of 50 million pieces of high-quality automotive wire and cables.

The inauguration was attended by Sheikh Saif bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Fujairah Free Zone Authority, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, Director-General of the Fujairah e-Government Department.
