Abu dhabi: Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, the UAE Minister of Foreign Trade, met with President Yamandº Orsi of Uruguay during the UAE's participation in the Mercosur Summit in Asunci³n, Paraguay. The meeting focused on enhancing economic partnerships between the UAE and Latin American countries.
According to Emirates News Agency, Dr. Al Zeyoudi conveyed greetings from the UAE leadership to President Orsi, expressing wishes for Uruguay's progress and prosperity. President Orsi emphasized Uruguay's interest in strengthening its economic partnership with the UAE and exploring joint cooperation opportunities in strategic areas.
In the presence of Dr. Al Saghira Al Ahbabi, UAE Ambassador to Paraguay, discussions were held on potential collaboration in sectors such as food security, logistics, renewable energy, and data centers. Dr. Al Zeyoudi also engaged with senior officials from various Latin American and Caribbean countries, including Trinidad and Tobago, Chile, Bolivia, and Panama, to explore cooperation in technology, financial services, healthcare, and other strategic economic sectors.
