Strasbourg: Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Defence, Interior and Foreign Affairs Committee of the Federal National Council (FNC), engaged in discussions with Adam Bielan, Foreign Affairs Coordinator for the Conservative Party in the European Parliament, regarding the enhancement of cooperation and joint coordination on political and security issues of mutual interest. This meeting was held at the European Parliament headquarters in Strasbourg, France.
According to Emirates News Agency, the talks addressed various regional and international developments, focusing on efforts to enhance security and stability in the Middle East. Discussions also emphasized the importance of developing international partnerships aimed at combating terrorism and extremism, as well as countering hate speech and foreign interference that threaten the security of states and societal stability.
Dr. Al Nuaimi highlighted that the United Arab Emirates bases its policies on a vision centered around moderation, tolerance, openness, and building bridges of dialogue and understanding among peoples. He stressed the need for concerted international efforts to protect societies, particularly young people, from extremist organizations and destructive ideologies.
Additionally, Dr. Al Nuaimi underscored the significance of safeguarding energy security and the freedom of international navigation. He called for strengthening international cooperation to preserve regional stability and support development and peace initiatives.
Adam Bielan, on his part, emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation with the United Arab Emirates on issues of mutual interest. He acknowledged the UAE’s active role in supporting regional and international security and stability, as well as its efforts in combating extremism and promoting a culture of tolerance and dialogue.
