CHAIRMAN OF THE ISLAMIC AFFAIRS RECEIVES DIRECTOR OF THE STATE COMMISSION FOR RELIGIOUS AFFAIRS IN THE KYRGYZ REPUBLIC

Dr Mohamed Matar al-Kaabi, Chairman of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments, received at Awqaf’s Headquarters in Abu Dhabi His Excellency Toygonbai Abdykarov, Director of the State Commission for Religious Affairs and Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the UAE and his accompanying delegation. At the outset of the meeting, Dr al-Kaabi briefed the Director of the State Commission for Religious Affairs on the services Awqaf offers to community members in modern and civilised ways to keep pace with everyday life, highlighting the unstinting support Awqaf receives from HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and Their Highness the Rulers of the Emirates. “Such unwavering support has significantly helped Awqaf deliver its mission in society in following the footsteps of the Founding Leader, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may Allah rest his soul in peace,” said Dr al-Kaabi. On a related note, the two sides discussed ways to establish cooperation in religious affairs and foster bonds of communication and exchange of expertise, intending to achieve shared goals and fulfil the satisfaction and ambitions of the two nations. For his part, His Excellency Toygonbai Abdykarov praised the warm hospitality and hailed the close cooperation between the two countries. He also lauded Awqaf’s experience and strategy in managing its affairs in modern ways that keep pace with life changes. It is noteworthy that the meeting was attended by Mohamed Saeed al-Neyadi, Director-General of Awqaf, Dr Omar Habtoor al-Direi, the Executive Director for Islamic Affairs and Khalid Mohamed al-Neyadi, the Executive Director for Waqf Sector.
