COVID-19 Pandemic Procedures Update at the Federal Government Level

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has issued today, Monday, a circular addressed to all ministries and federal entities regarding relaxing the procedures set for dealing with Covid-19 pandemic at Federal Government level.

In the aforementioned circular, FAHR indicated that in line with the continued low rates of Covid-19 infections, for the purposes of unifying all provisions related to precautionary measures in terms of responding to the pandemic, and in coordination with the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA) and Ministry of Health and Prevention, it has been resolved to start working on the second phase of scaling back the procedures set for dealing with COVID-19 pandemic as of the 7th of November 2022.

FAHR stated that it has been decided that masks be abandoned in all open and closed places, while maintaining the commitment to put them on in healthcare facilities and establishments and People of determination’ centers. This is in addition to cancelling the green passage requirement to enter Federal Authorities, along with limiting the use of Al Hosn application to authenticating vaccination certificates and tests’ results inside and outside the state, upon request. Finally, isolation period is reduced for five days for Federal Government employees infected with the Covid-19 virus.

FAHR has pointed out that these procedures and provisions are subject to update and change according to the directives issued by the authorities concerned with managing the pandemic file.
