Dubai Holding Community Management and Etihad ESCO Partner to Enhance Energy Efficiency

Dubai: Dubai Holding Community Management and Al Etihad Energy Services (Etihad ESCO) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at bolstering energy efficiency and strategic sustainability initiatives across communities managed by Dubai Holding Community Management.

According to Emirates News Agency, the agreement was formalized by Francis Giani, CEO at Dubai Holding Community Management, and Dr. Waleed Al Nuaimi, CEO of Etihad ESCO. The collaboration seeks to merge Dubai Holding Community Management's sustainability-driven approach with Etihad ESCO's technical expertise in energy management to implement projects that improve energy usage, enhance monitoring and metering, and introduce new solutions to increase energy efficiency.

The MoU emphasizes three main areas: the implementation of energy optimization and efficiency projects, the introduction of solar energy solutions for communities, and the facilitation of knowledge-sharing to pilot new sustainability initiatives.

Francis Giani expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting its potential to create a positive, long-term impact aligned with Dubai's Demand Side Management Strategy 2050. He noted that Etihad ESCO's technical expertise and leadership in energy efficiency align with Dubai Holding Community Management's vision of fostering sustainable utilities, practices, and lifestyles.

Dr. Al Nuaimi stated that the partnership exemplifies Etihad ESCO's mission to transform Dubai's built environment through innovative energy efficiency solutions. The integration of solar, retrofit, and smart metering technologies aims to create measurable impacts consistent with the Dubai Demand Side Management Strategy and the UAE's broader sustainability goals.

The initiative promises to benefit residents, owners, and partners across Dubai Holding Community Management communities by introducing energy-efficient systems, access to renewable energy options, smarter monitoring tools, and increased awareness of environmental impact.

Dubai Holding has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the UAE's national ambition of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 and is a signatory of the MOCCAE Climate-Responsible Companies Pledge.
