EU Ministers Support New Protocol for Hybrid Threats

Brussels:EU foreign and defence ministers have endorsed further progress on developing a European protocol aimed at addressing hybrid threats, emphasizing that it should work in tandem with NATO's initiatives.

According to Emirates News Agency, EU High Representative Kaja Kallas highlighted that several ministers stressed the importance of ensuring "full complementarity with NATO." She noted that the initiative is not about creating something new but about cooperating closely with the Alliance.

The proposed "Emergency Security Protocol" is intended to aid Member States in coordinating responses to hybrid threats that do not meet the threshold of armed aggression defined by NATO's Article 5.
