Explosion at Bolivia Military Base Claims Lives and Injures Many

Viacha: At least 10 people were killed and dozens more injured following an explosion at a military barracks in the Bolivian municipality of Viacha, approximately 30 km from La Paz, as reported by local authorities.

According to Emirates News Agency, Viacha health director Rita Nebraska informed local television that between 10 and 15 fatalities were believed to have resulted from the incident, with 62 individuals injured. Among the wounded, 14 were transferred to hospitals in La Paz, including a girl suffering from third-degree burns.

In response to the explosion, ambulances, medical teams, and police were dispatched to the military complex. Their efforts focused on assessing the damage and evacuating the wounded to health facilities.
