The delegation toured the mosque's halls and external corridors, receiving insights into the history of the mosque's establishment and its cultural mission, which is based on values of coexistence, tolerance, and openness.
According to Emirates News Agency, the minister and his delegation were introduced to the mosque's historical background, architectural beauty, and the intricate Islamic art featured within its spaces. They admired the blend of various Islamic architectural styles that symbolize cultural convergence in a single, creative masterpiece.
At the end of the visit, Sean Sobers was presented with a copy of 'Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque: Lights of Peace.' The book highlights the mosque's unique architectural artistry and offers readers a visual journey through a collection of award-winning photographs from the 'Spaces of Light' competition.
