Fujairah Equestrian Championships Set for November 20 Launch

Fujairah: Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, the Fujairah Equestrian Championships are scheduled to take place from November 20 to November 29. The event underscores the Emirate's dedication to preserving the cultural heritage of equestrianism, while also enhancing its regional and international presence. This aligns with Fujairah's vision of bridging authenticity and innovation through traditional sports.

According to Emirates News Agency, the Higher Committee for the Fujairah Equestrian Championships will organize the tournament at the Fujairah Fort Arena. The Emirate is focused on expanding and diversifying equestrian activities and providing support to riders and horse owners both from the UAE and abroad.

The 2025 edition boasts a comprehensive program of competitions. It kicks off with the Fujairah International Jumping Championship from November 20 to 23, followed by the Fujairah Dressage Championship on November 24. The championships will conclude with the Fujairah International Arabian Horse Championship from November 27 to 29. Together, these events form an integrated series that highlights the harmony between athletic skill and the enduring beauty of Arabian horses.

This year introduces the Silver Khanjar Award, which will be presented to private stables owned and operated by UAE nationals, recognizing their efforts in preserving and developing purebred Arabian horse lineages. The event will also feature the Golden Sword Award, the highest honor of the championships, awarded to the most outstanding competitor, regardless of nationality or stable affiliation. These awards highlight the Emirate's commitment to fostering national talent and promoting excellence in this cultural tradition.

Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee for the Fujairah Equestrian Championships, stated that this edition embodies the vision of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi to solidify equestrianism as a cornerstone of Arab identity and a lasting cultural legacy. He remarked that the championships have evolved into one of the region's most anticipated annual events, merging world-class competition with cultural depth and celebrating the grace and heritage of the Arabian horse.

Al Zeyoudi emphasized that the Fujairah Equestrian Championships are more than a sporting event, describing them as a comprehensive cultural initiative that reaffirms equestrianism as a civilizational value. He noted that the championships continue to develop in scope and quality each year, reflecting Fujairah's increasing stature on the global equestrian stage.

Ali Musbah Al Kaabi, Vice Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee, affirmed that hosting the championships highlights Fujairah's prominent position in the regional and international equestrian sectors. He added that this year's edition stands out for its organization, distinguished participants, and prestigious awards, offering an integrated and enriching experience for riders and enthusiasts alike.
