GDRFA Dubai and DIFC Authority Forge Strategic Partnership Agreement

Dubai: The General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs - Dubai (GDRFA Dubai) has formalized a partnership agreement with the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Authority. This collaboration aims to enhance institutional synergy and unify efforts across joint initiatives and projects.

According to Emirates News Agency, the agreement was signed by Major General Khalaf Ahmed Al Ghaith, Assistant Director-General for the Entry and Residence Permits Sector of GDRFA Dubai, and Arif Amiri, Chief Executive Officer of DIFC Authority. The partnership aligns with Dubai's vision of fostering an integrated government ecosystem through effective partnerships, promoting expertise exchange, and developing services to enhance quality of life.

The agreement focuses on strengthening cooperation in developing joint projects, launching knowledge and community initiatives, and providing proactive services to the Centre's clients, including DIFC Family Wealth Centre members. It also emphasizes coordination on legal, technical, and administrative matters.

Major General Obaid Mehayer Bin Suroor, Deputy Director-General of GDRFA Dubai, highlighted that the agreement marks a significant step in government integration and reflects GDRFA Dubai's commitment to strategic partnerships that enhance government services. The collaboration aims to support Dubai's vision for a flexible, innovative service ecosystem.

Major General Khalaf Ahmed Al Ghaith stated that the agreement underscores GDRFA Dubai's dedication to institutional cooperation, ultimately improving services for investors and clients. He expressed optimism for a fruitful partnership with DIFC, emphasizing the exchange of expertise and facilitation of procedures to bolster operational efficiency.

Essa Kazim, Governor of the DIFC Authority, expressed appreciation for the agreement, noting its importance in enhancing government alignment and supporting Dubai's business environment. He emphasized that the partnership contributes to creating an integrated business ecosystem that reinforces Dubai's status as a global financial hub.

Arif Amiri added that the collaboration with GDRFA Dubai will facilitate processes for investors and clients, reinforcing Dubai's position as a global business destination. The agreement reaffirms a commitment to cooperation with government entities to develop efficient and innovative service systems, attracting top talent and companies worldwide.

The agreement is set for a two-year term, renewable, with commitments from both parties for ongoing coordination and information exchange within approved legal frameworks to achieve partnership objectives and enhance institutional integration.
