Abu dhabi: In the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, honoured the recipients of the UAE Order for Culture and Creativity in its second edition at the UAE Government Annual Meetings 2025 held in Abu Dhabi.
According to Emirates News Agency, the UAE Order for Culture and Creativity is the nation's highest cultural honour, celebrating exceptional talents whose contributions have significantly enriched the UAE's cultural landscape and elevated its influence regionally and internationally. The ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, and H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, among others.
H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed emphasized the importance of culture and creativity as fundamental pillars of the UAE's vision for development, highlighting their role in enhancing the UAE's global standing and fostering new connections worldwide. He noted that the recognition serves as motivation for creatives to continue their contributions, which bolster the UAE's cultural and humanitarian status.
The initiative, organised by the Ministry of Culture, underscores the authenticity and importance of the UAE's cultural and national identity. It positions the UAE as a leader in cultural innovation, inspiring collaboration and recognition within the international creative community, and establishing a legacy of cultural pride for future generations.
Sheikh Salem bin Khalid Al Qassimi, Minister of Culture, remarked on the Order's role in supporting Emirati cultural talent and enhancing cultural and creative industries. He described it as a strategic driver that motivates creators and supporters of culture to set unique examples, reflecting the UAE's vision to solidify its status as a leading global hub for cultural innovation.
The Order's design, inspired by the UAE's cultural heritage, intricately weaves five core elements, including the Falcon, the Sun, and the Fort. These elements reflect unique aspects of Emirati traditions and identity, combining traditional values with modern vision to symbolize cultural excellence and innovation.
