Dubai: On behalf of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, led the UAE delegation to the 45th Summit of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) leaders, which commenced today in Kuwait. The summit was inaugurated by His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of Kuwait.
According to Emirates News Agency, the UAE delegation included several prominent figures such as H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; Mohammed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, Minister of State for Financial Affairs; Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure; Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology; Abdullah bin Sultan Al Nuaimi, Minister of Justice; Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi, Minister of Investment; Dr. Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahak, Minister of Climate Change and Environment; Khalifa Shah
een Al Marar, Minister of State, along with other senior officials.
In his statement at the summit, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed conveyed his gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and the State of Kuwait for their warm reception and organization of the summit. He expressed appreciation to the General Secretariat of the GCC for their efforts and hoped the summit would yield decisions that support joint GCC action, benefiting the peoples of the member states. He also acknowledged the efforts of the State of Qatar during its presidency of the 44th GCC Summit.
Sheikh Mansour emphasized the significance of reinforcing joint Gulf cooperation to achieve the interests and aspirations of the GCC member states and their citizens, while also supporting regional stability and development. He highlighted the importance of building on the GCC’s progress and achievements over the past decades for further integration that benefits the GCC countries.
He affirmed the UAE’s commitment to
supporting the integration process among GCC member states, driven by strong fraternal ties and opportunities for cooperation to achieve shared interests.
Additionally, Sheikh Mansour extended an invitation to the GCC leaders to attend the 46th GCC Summit in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Earlier in the day, Sheikh Mansour arrived in Kuwait, where he was received by several key figures, including His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Crown Prince of Kuwait, and His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of Kuwait, along with Jassem Al Budaiwi, Secretary-General of the GCC, and other senior Kuwaiti officials.
