Mohammed bin Rashid Pardons 836 Prisoners Ahead of Eid Al Adha


Dubai: In his capacity as the Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, has ordered the release of 836 prisoners of different nationalities from Dubai’s correctional and punitive establishments, ahead of Eid Al Adha.



According to Emirates News Agency, Chancellor Essam Issa Al-Humaidan, Attorney General of Dubai, stated that the order to pardon the prisoners demonstrates His Highness Sheikh Mohammed’s desire to bring happiness to their families and provide them an opportunity to start anew and reintegrate into society.



Al-Humaidan also mentioned that Dubai Public Prosecution, in collaboration with Dubai Police, has begun the legal procedures to implement the directive issued by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed.
