AJMAN, H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, stressed that museums in the UAE, especially in Ajman, document the heritage and various features of traditional life, historic events, social life, and leading figures who played historical roles and embody social cohesion.
He also highlighted the importance of museums, as they showcase eras that should not be forgotten and offer scholars valuable content, such as heritage discoveries, tools and historical moments.
Sheikh Humaid made this statement while touring the Ajman Museum, accompanied by H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman; Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Department of Tourism Development; Sheikh Humaid bin Ammar Al Nuaimi; Sheikh Abdullah bin Majid Al Nuaimi, Director-General of the Citizens Affairs Office; Yousef Muhammad Al Nuaimi, Director-General of Protocol and Hospitality, and several senior officials.
Sheikh Humaid and his delegation were briefed about Ajman’s history and its fortress and the rule of the Al Nuaimi family since the era of Sheikh Rashid the First.
Sheikh Humaid commended the significant attention given by the UAE’s leadership to heritage, antiquities, national identity, and the preservation of heritage, through establishing museums and holding heritage events in the UAE and Ajman.
