Paris: Noura Al Kaabi, Minister of State, participated in the Fourth Ministerial Conference on Feminist Foreign Policy, held in Paris, France, on 22-23 October.
According to Emirates News Agency, the conference was hosted by the Government of France and served as a platform to extend international efforts towards advancing women's rights and fostering progress in gender equality. The event, under the theme 'How Can We Unite, Act, and Resist Together to Defend Gender Equality and the Rights of Women and Girls,' built on previous conference outcomes and brought together political leaders, representatives from international organizations, development banks, civil society, research institutions, and philanthropic foundations from more than 50 countries.
The timing of the conference aligned with the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action and the 25th anniversary of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace, and Security. Both milestones serve as frameworks for global efforts to support and enhance women's rights, empowerment, and participation in public life, as well as to combat violence against women.
The participation of the UAE in the conference underscores its ongoing dedication to promoting gender equality and empowering women and girls.
