Abu dhabi: Parkin Company PJSC (Parkin), the largest provider of paid public parking facilities and services in Dubai, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bahrain Car Parks Company (Amakin) B.S.C, a leading parking and mobility solutions provider in Bahrain, to establish a framework for collaboration across parking technologies, digital mobility services, and regional business development.
According to Emirates News Agency, the MoU establishes a framework for Parkin and Amakin to leverage their respective technology, operational, and market capabilities to advance regional customer experience, improve operational efficiency, and support the development of smarter parking and mobility services across the GCC.
Under the MoU, the two companies will evaluate opportunities such as platform integration, connecting Parkin and Amakin's digital platforms to streamline operations and deliver a more seamless customer experience. They will also assess digital payments to enable customers to access and pay for parking across both networks through their respective mobile apps, supporting a more connected UAE-Bahrain parking experience. Additionally, data analysis of mobility data will be conducted to identify trends and support new data-driven parking solutions in both markets.
Eng. Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali, Chief Executive Officer of Parkin Company PJSC, commented on the partnership as a significant milestone in expanding smart parking capabilities beyond Dubai. He highlighted the collaboration's potential to deliver a seamless customer experience and unlock future growth opportunities across the GCC and beyond.
Tariq Ali Aljowder, Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Car Parks Company (Amakin) B.S.C., emphasized the priority of making parking simpler and more convenient. He noted that working with Parkin allows for the exploration of practical solutions that combine digital innovation with an understanding of the Bahraini market to improve customer experience, including faster payment options and more accurate space availability.
Beyond technology integration, the MoU also provides a framework for Parkin and Amakin to explore joint business opportunities across the GCC and selected international markets.
