Geneva: Reem Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, met with Tom Fletcher, Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator at OCHA, in Geneva, Switzerland. The meeting focused on the significance of ongoing US mediation efforts regarding Sudan, as well as the vital role of the Quad in promoting an unconditional and immediate ceasefire.

According to Emirates News Agency, Al Hashimy and Fletcher emphasized the critical need for safe, rapid, and unhindered humanitarian access throughout Sudan, given the significant and rising humanitarian needs. They also discussed the protection of civilians, compliance with international humanitarian law, accountability for atrocities, and the necessity for increased funding for principled humanitarian assistance.
