Umm Al Qaiwain:The Medical Office (TMO), part of PureHealth, has announced that all three Sheikh Khalifa Hospitals have been awarded the American Nurses Credentialing Centre (ANCC) Pathway to Excellence designation with Distinction. This accolade highlights the robust nursing practice environments within the network and their significant contribution to delivering safe and high-quality patient care.

According to Emirates News Agency, the designation was conferred upon Sheikh Khalifa General Hospital in Umm Al Qaiwain, Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in Ajman, and Sheikh Khalifa Specialty Hospital in Ras Al Khaimah. These hospitals now rank among the top 10% of Pathway to Excellence-designated organizations globally, marking a critical milestone for the Sheikh Khalifa Hospitals network.

The ANCC Pathway to Excellence designation acknowledges healthcare organizations that foster positive professional practice environments for nurses. The distinction is a testament to the dedication, professionalism, and sustained commitment of the nursing teams across all hospitals, emphasizing their focus on nursing excellence, staff engagement, professional development, and the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care.

This achievement fulfills a strategic priority set by TMO Nursing Affairs over three years ago. In collaboration with hospital leadership and nursing teams, TMO Nursing Affairs has worked on enhancing nursing governance, shared decision-making, well-being, and professional practice across the network. The program has been implemented among 1,200 nurses at the three hospitals, demonstrating its extensive reach.
