DOHA, South Korea left it late to secure its spot in the round of 16 of the FIFA World Cup to join Portugal as the qualifying teams out of Group H.
Ricardo Horta opened the scoring for Portugal in the 5th minute, but Kim Young-gown added an equaliser in the 27th minute, only for Hwang Hee-chan to score the winner and seal Korea’s win in the 1st stoppage time minute.
The other match in Group H saw Uruguay beat Ghana 2-0 as they looked to book their spot in the next round, but South Korea’s win doomed them to a group stage exit.
