Abu Dhabi:H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan emphasized the significant influence of teachers in shaping future generations during a statement marking World Teachers' Day.
According to Emirates News Agency, Sheikh Abdullah, who is the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Chairman of the Education, Human Development and Community Development Council, noted the lasting impact teachers have had throughout the United Arab Emirates' history. He acknowledged their role in instilling the value of knowledge and learning, which has been carried forward by each generation. He expressed renewed appreciation for the dedication of teachers in preparing generations to fulfill the nation's ambitions.
H.H. Sheikha Mariam bint Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan also underscored the importance of education as a foundational element of human development. As Vice-Chairperson of the Education, Human Development and Community Development Council, she pointed out the transformative roles teachers play in nurturing students' knowledge, skills, character, values, curiosity, resilience, and sense of responsibility. She highlighted the celebration of teachers' enduring impact on students' identities and their ability to adapt to a changing world, contributing to the prosperity of the UAE.
