Abu dhabi: The UAE has announced the allocation of US$10 million through the UAE Aid Agency to provide urgent humanitarian aid to the victims of recent floods and landslides in Nepal. This natural disaster has led to numerous fatalities, injuries, and missing persons, alongside causing significant infrastructural damage. The aid initiative is part of the UAE's swift response to the crisis, following the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

According to Emirates News Agency, Dr. Tareq Ahmed Al Amiri, the Chairman of the UAE Aid Agency, highlighted the UAE's commitment to global humanitarian efforts. The nation is motivated by a sense of human solidarity and a desire for international cooperation in addressing urgent needs. Dr. Al Amiri emphasized the necessity of reinforcing collective humanitarian actions to deliver relief and support to communities impacted by both natural disasters and humanitarian crises.
