UAE and Syria Explore Cooperation in Government Modernisation

Abu Dhabi:Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, the Minister of Cabinet Affairs, emphasized the UAE's commitment to sharing its government development expertise with friendly nations during a meeting with a Syrian delegation. This initiative is part of the Government Experience Exchange Programme, which aims to enhance government efficiency and future readiness through international collaboration.

According to Emirates News Agency, the Syrian delegation, led by Minister of Administrative Development Mohammad Hassan Al Sakkaf, visited the UAE to learn about its government development model. This model focuses on investing in human capital, institutional development, and the adoption of technology and artificial intelligence.

During the visit, the delegation engaged in discussions with UAE government leaders on best practices in various domains, including policy development, government strategies, institutional performance, and digital transformation. The two sides explored opportunities for cooperation, aiming to address the needs of Syrian government institutions by leveraging the UAE's experience in government modernisation.

The Government Experience Exchange Programme, launched by the UAE in 2018, facilitates the sharing of government expertise and best practices with other nations to foster international partnerships in modernising government operations and services.
