UAE Bolsters Status as Leading Hub for Marine Sports

Abu dhabi: Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Chairman of the UAE Marine Sports Federation and Chairman of the Board of Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, has confirmed that the UAE is set to participate actively in numerous Arab, Gulf, and international marine sports championships. These include events such as Formula races, jet-ski contests, and modern sailing, marking an expansion in international engagement.

According to Emirates News Agency, Sheikh Mohammed emphasized that the steadfast support from the country's leadership forms a crucial foundation for the growth of marine sports in the UAE. He highlighted that local and international successes stem from a comprehensive vision focused on investing in people and empowering them to excel on global platforms.

He explained that the UAE has solidified its standing as both a regional and global hub for marine sports, further establishing itself as a nurturing ground for champions and talents. This has enabled clubs and federations to execute long-term development strategies, enhancing the country's presence in international competitions and building its reputation as a beacon of creativity and sporting excellence.

Sheikh Mohammed also recognized the efforts of marine sports clubs, noting their strong capability to compete in top Formula championships. This is achieved through organized work and modern preparation programs aimed at developing national talent. He pointed out that the achievements of teams, particularly Team Abu Dhabi, illustrate that Emiratis can compete with leading racers worldwide and achieve notable success.

He stressed that investing in youth is a fundamental aspect of the federation's future vision. The focus is on training skilled and knowledgeable young Emirati professionals who will lead the sport in the future while gaining leadership and technical expertise to ensure the sustainability of the UAE's achievements in marine sports.
