UAE health sector, an example to follow in readiness, resilience, and response to ongoing challenges: Abdul Rahman Al Owais

ABU DHABI, Abdul Rahman bin Mohammad bin Nasser Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention, has stated that the UAE has become a global model to be emulated in terms of readiness, resilience, and response to ongoing changes, in addition to being the fastest in decision-making and leading future pathways.

In his statement marking World Health Day, Al Owais underlined that the credit for this success and development is attributed to the guidance and forward-looking vision of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan besides the unwavering support of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

He pointed out that the wise leadership has attached the highest importance to the healthcare sector by developing an ambitious roadmap seeking to create innovative solutions to challenges and strengthen the health system’s capacities, making the country lead several competitive and quality indicators in healthcare services.

He affirmed that the World Health Organisation’s adoption of the UAE government accelerators model is yet another testament to the efficiency and excellence in the management and governance of the health sector.

The health minister thanked the health personnel in the first line of defense and all workers in the health sector for their tremendous efforts to protect the health of community members, emphasising that the UAE is moving steadily to achieve global leadership.
