UAE’s Medal Count at 4th GCC Games Climbs to 61 with Archery and Padel Success


Doha: The UAE’s medal tally at the 4th GCC Games rose to 61 medals, comprising 13 gold, 19 silver, and 29 bronze.



According to Emirates News Agency, the UAE archery team delivered a notable performance at the 4th GCC Games – Doha 2026, contributing nine medals: three gold, five silver, and one bronze. Shehab Ahmed Al Saedi initiated the UAE’s archery success by securing a bronze in the men’s individual compound event.



The women’s compound team, consisting of Joumana Al Najjar, Amna Al Awadhi, and Maitha Al Nuaimi, secured the first gold medal. Amna Al Awadhi further shone by winning gold in the women’s individual compound event. Omar Al Ali added to the gold medal count with a victory in the men’s individual recurve event.



In team events, the men’s compound team, featuring Yousef Al Hosani, Sultan Al Menhali, and Shehab Ahmed Al Saedi, earned silver. The men’s recurve team, comprising Saeed Al Dhuhoori, Omar Al Ali, and Abdalla Al Ketbi, also won silver, while the women’s recurve team, made up of Hessa Al Awadhi, Fatima Al Blooshi, and Maryam Al Sayegh, added another silver to the tally.



Joumana Al Najjar and Shehab Ahmed Al Saedi secured silver in the compound mixed team event, with Joumana Al Najjar also claiming silver in the women’s individual compound event. The recurve mixed team event saw Omar Al Ali and Hessa Al Awadhi winning bronze.



The UAE men’s padel team captured gold, while the women’s team claimed bronze in the team competition, highlighting another accomplishment for UAE sports at the GCC Games and showcasing the strength of padel at the national team level.
