New york: The main US stock indexes closed higher on Friday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average demonstrating significant gains.

According to Emirates News Agency, the S and P 500 and Nasdaq Composite ended their three-week winning streaks, while the Dow Jones recorded losses for a second consecutive week. Preliminary data indicated the S and P 500 increased by 32.94 points, or 0.43%, closing at 7,674.10 points. The Nasdaq Composite also saw a rise, gaining 112.20 points, or 0.43%, to reach 26,179.37 points.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average made a notable climb, adding 520.93 points, or 0.99%, to finish at 53,280.14 points.
