Abu dhabi: Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the seventh editions of the Unmanned Systems Exhibitions (UMEX 2026) and the Simulation and Training Exhibitions (SimTEX 2026) are set to take place at the ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi from January 20-22, 2026. Organised by ADNEC Group alongside the Ministry of Defence, these events aim to highlight innovations in unmanned systems, artificial intelligence, simulation, and training across various sectors.
According to Emirates News Agency, Brigadier General Mohammed Obaid Al Marshoudi emphasized the exhibitions' role in advancing unmanned system technologies, which are pivotal to the future of global industries. The 2026 edition aims to bolster the UAE's position in the international arena by showcasing innovative solutions and fostering partnerships that accelerate growth in this critical sector.
Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and Group CEO of ADNEC Group, stated that all preparations are complete to ensure the exhibitions reflect Abu Dhabi's capability in hosting specialized international events. The exhibitions are poised to underscore Abu Dhabi's attractiveness as a destination for investment in advanced technologies, bringing together leading companies and research entities to support rapid sector growth.
The 2026 edition marks the largest expansion since UMEX and SimTEX became independent of the International Defence Exhibition (IDEX) in 2015. The events are expected to see record participation from government and private entities, alongside national and international companies and research institutions specializing in robotics, smart control systems, and other technological solutions.
The exhibitions will also draw senior officials and industry experts globally, reinforcing Abu Dhabi's status as a hub for innovation in future technologies. The UMEX 2026 Conference will feature international speakers sharing insights into trends in the unmanned systems sector, including AI integration and future applications in various commercial sectors.
