Abdullah Bin Zayed Engages in Strategic Talks with German Leadership


Berlin: H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Lars Klingbeil, Vice-Chancellor of Germany and Federal Minister of Finance, during his working visit to Berlin. The meeting focused on the strategic relations between the UAE and Germany, exploring avenues to enhance cooperation in sectors such as economy, finance, and investment, benefiting the mutual interests of both nations.



According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed emphasized the UAE’s dedication to strengthening collaboration with Germany to support sustainable development and economic growth for both countries. The discussions also delved into regional and international issues of shared concern, including the repercussions of recent unprovoked terrorist attacks by Iran targeting civilian sites in the UAE.



The meeting addressed concerns over missile and drone attacks impacting international maritime navigation, energy supplies, and the global economy. Additionally, the talks highlighted the recent terrorist drone attacks from Iraqi territory, notably one targeting the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant, affecting an electricity generator outside the plant’s inner perimeter.



Klingbeil expressed Germany’s support for the UAE, condemning the terrorist attacks, while H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed conveyed gratitude for Germany’s solidarity, affirming the safety of residents and visitors in the UAE. The meeting was attended by Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Minister of State; Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, Minister of State; and Ahmed Wahib Al Attar, UAE Ambassador to Germany.
