Abdullah Bin Zayed Meets Jordanian Deputy PM to Discuss Regional Cooperation and Peace Efforts


Abu dhabi: H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a meeting with Ayman Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan, in Abu Dhabi. The discussion centered around the robust ties between the UAE and Jordan, focusing on enhancing their cooperation in various sectors aligned with their development priorities.



According to Emirates News Agency, Sheikh Abdullah expressed his welcome for Safadi’s visit, highlighting the strong fraternal bonds shared by the UAE and Jordan. The dialogue extended to cover the ongoing developments in the Middle East, particularly the situation in the Gaza Strip. Both leaders emphasized the significance of progressing with the implementation of US President Donald Trump’s plan to ensure lasting security and peace in the region, aiming to fulfill the development and prosperity aspirations of the local populations.



The discussions also touched upon the escalating tensions in the occupied West Bank. The two ministers called for de-escalation and a revival of political efforts directed towards achieving a two-state solution, in line with international legitimacy. Additionally, the meeting served as a platform for the exchange of views on various regional and international matters of shared interest.
