Ahmed bin Mohammed Attends 10th Emirati Media Forum, Highlights Role of Youth in Future Media

Dubai: H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, attended the 10th Emirati Media Forum at the Museum of the Future in Dubai, alongside H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority.

According to Emirates News Agency, the forum, organised by the Dubai Press Club, convened a group of key figures from the UAE media sector, including media pioneers, editors-in-chief, and influencers. During the event, H.H. Sheikh Ahmed met with prominent media personalities and praised their professionalism and the high-quality content they produce. He stressed that national media is essential for development and social awareness, reflecting the UAE's leadership regionally and globally.

H.H. Sheikh Ahmed emphasized the importance of investing in talent, knowledge, and creativity within the media sector to align with the UAE's ambitions and centennial vision. He highlighted the media's role as a bridge between the government and society, urging national outlets to support the UAE's strategies for sustainable development.

In his address, Sheikh Ahmed underscored the media's responsibility in shaping public awareness and showcasing the nation's achievements. He noted that the sector must anticipate changes, maintain professionalism, and engage audiences with credibility. The role of media in building societal trust and civic responsibility was also highlighted, reinforcing the UAE's global reputation.

A key focus of Sheikh Ahmed's address was the empowerment of youth in the media sector. He pointed out that young Emiratis, with their understanding of the digital environment, are well-placed to redefine content and drive digital transformation. Media institutions were encouraged to provide young professionals with opportunities to lead the sector's evolution.

The Dubai Media Council's efforts to equip a new generation of media professionals with skills in digital content creation and artificial intelligence were also praised. H.H. Sheikh Ahmed commended the forum's agenda, which focused on emerging media sectors and opportunities.

On the sidelines, Sheikh Ahmed and Sheikha Latifa visited the 'Zayed and Rashid Campaign' stand and the 'Dubai Media Pioneers' exhibition. The campaign celebrates the legacy of the UAE's founding fathers, while the exhibition honors Emirati media professionals who contributed to Dubai's media sector growth.

During the event, H.H. Sheikha Latifa, along with Mona Ghanem Al Marri, honoured several local media organisations for their contributions to the UAE's development. The recognition highlighted the professionalism and dedication of UAE media institutions, which continue to adapt to technological advancements.

Maryam Al Mulla, Director of the Dubai Press Club, congratulated the honoured entities for their commitment to fostering public trust and professionalism. The forum examined the UAE's media landscape and explored ways to enhance the competitiveness of national media institutions.
