Abu Dhabi: Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club has announced a significant sponsorship agreement with the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and XRG, a move that marks a new chapter for the club. Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Managing Director and Group CEO of ADNOC, as well as the Executive Chairman of XRG, was present to witness the historic signing at the ADNOC headquarters.
According to Emirates News Agency, the agreement designates ADNOC as the official sponsor of Al Ain's first football team's jersey for local matches in the upcoming season. Meanwhile, XRG will sponsor the team's training kit during their participation in the FIFA Clubs World Cup 2025, continuing through to the end of the season.
The agreement was formalized by Rashid Abdullah, CEO of Al Ain Investment Company, representing Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, and Saif Atiq Al Falahi, Chairman of ADNOC Group Business Support and Special Tasks Department, representing XRG and ADNOC. The event was attended by Al Ain Football Company's board members, including Mohammed Ibrahim Al Mahmoud and Mohammed Saif Al Katabi, as well as several Al Ain first team players and executives from the involved organizations.
Mohammed Saif Al Katabi highlighted the partnership as a model of integration between sporting ambition and economic vision, aligning Al Ain's goals of representing the UAE in major tournaments with ADNOC's national economic ambitions and XRG's strategic investment vision. He emphasized the collaboration as an investment in national values, integrating leadership, sustainability, and the representation of the UAE on both sporting and economic platforms.
Saif Al Falahi expressed the significance of the agreement, noting it as a reflection of a joint commitment to leveraging sport for community unity, prosperity, and enhancing the UAE's presence in global sporting arenas. The partnership is seen as a pivotal step in achieving shared goals and enhancing the stature of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club in line with the aspirations of the UAE sports sector.
