Abu dhabi: Joseph Oughourlian, Founder of Amber Capital and Presidente del Gruppo Prisa, emphasized the complexities of maintaining news quality and reliability in a social media-driven world during the BRIDGE Summit. He shared his insights with the Emirates News Agency (WAM) on the event's sidelines, stressing the diverse perspectives on resolving these challenges, whether through government intervention, market solutions, or the rise of new business platforms impacting the information ecosystem.

According to Emirates News Agency, Oughourlian's session at the BRIDGE Summit, titled 'Designing a Global Media Dealbook,' addressed capital raising in the media sector. He highlighted the availability of significant funding for innovative business models, ranging from small ventures to major transactions in traditional media, indicating that traditional media investment remains robust.

Oughourlian outlined Amber Capital's proactive investment strategy, emphasizing the firm's active involvement, including his leadership role at PRISA, a prominent media company in Spain. He described the UAE as a strategic meeting point between Europe, Asia, and Africa, where cultures intersect and dialogue flourishes. He expressed appreciation for the diverse geographic and sectoral engagement in the UAE and hoped for the continuation of the summit's model.
