Dubai: Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, one of the three chambers under Dubai Chambers, recently collaborated with Oraseya Capital, the investment arm of Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ), to organise a dedicated pitching session aimed at enhancing funding opportunities for technology startups. The session brought together founders of seven startups from various sectors of the digital economy with Oraseya Capital's investment team and its SANDBOX Investment Program.
According to Emirates News Agency, the founders presented their business models, solutions, and growth plans to secure investment funding. The startups received immediate feedback on subsequent evaluation and investment process requirements. Some companies advanced to the next stage of Oraseya Capital's evaluation, potentially benefiting from the SANDBOX Investment Program to accelerate growth.
Saeed Al Gergawi, Vice President of Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, emphasized the chamber's commitment to providing pathways for technology startups to connect with investors and access capital and expertise to support their growth. The initiative aims to bolster Dubai's digital economy ecosystem and its status as a global hub for innovation and entrepreneurship.
Julien Plouzeau, Senior Partner at Oraseya Capital, highlighted the impact of combining startup funding with expertise, guidance, and access to an investment ecosystem. He noted that the collaboration with Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy reflects their commitment to nurturing promising technology companies and enhancing their business models for expansion from Dubai.
The session featured companies including Arakan, a UAE-based platform offering digital solutions for business compliance and operations; Duno, a platform for evaluating SMEs; and YOUNEA, an AI platform for deploying branded AI agents across multiple channels. Other participants included Riayatech, Avelin, SENSI, and Cogniver, each offering innovative solutions in their respective fields.
Oraseya Capital operates a AED500 million investment fund focused on technology startups, from pre-seed to Series B stages. Through its SANDBOX Investment Program, it provides investment opportunities, mentorship, and access to a broader startup ecosystem.
The pitching session aligns with Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy's strategic priorities to attract international businesses and investment, strengthen the emirate's digital economy, and facilitate startup growth and funding opportunities.
