An official source at the Central Bank of Yemen stated that leaders from the bank met on Wednesday with head of the Security and Intelligence Service Maj. Gen. Abdulhakim al-Khaiwani.
The source stated in a statement to Saba that leaders from the bank and the association offered condolences to the head of the Security and Intelligence Service, and all the employees of the agency for the martyrdom of two of its valiant employees and the wounding of another, as a result of the treachery and betrayal they were subjected to in Jadar area in Bani al-Harith district in Sana’a while performing their duties. The National Support for the Central Bank, commissioned and coordinated by the Public Funds Prosecution in tracking down national currency manipulators and those practicing the exchange profession without obtaining the necessary licenses.
The source said, “The bank and the association commend and thank the agency for its relentless and continuous efforts, commissioned and coordinated with the Public Funds Prosecution, in supporting the National Salvation Government’s measures to preserve the national economy and the stability of the national currency.”
The source called on everyone to feel responsible and to join all efforts for the public good and to confront hostile plans in various fields.
