Dubai: Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) Ltd has announced a new agreement with Somon Air for the lease of two Boeing 737-8 aircraft. These aircraft are scheduled for delivery in 2026, marking a significant addition to Somon Air's fleet.
According to Emirates News Agency, Firoz Tarapore, Chief Executive Officer of DAE, expressed enthusiasm about the agreement, stating, "We are delighted to announce the signing of the aircraft lease agreements with Somon Air, a new customer for DAE. As the national air carrier of Tajikistan, we are excited to support Somon Air's growth, and look forward to deepening this relationship into the future."
Abdulkosim Valiev, Chief Executive Officer of Somon Air, highlighted the strategic importance of the lease, noting that the new Boeing 737-8 aircraft will aid in the airline's network expansion and operational efficiency. This addition will also enable Somon Air to launch new routes, enhancing its service offerings.
DAE currently owns, manages, and is committed to owning or managing around 750 aircraft, including 237 from Boeing. The company aims to further expand its fleet to meet growing market demands.
