DGR and Kuwaiti Consulate Explore Cultural and Educational Collaboration

Sharjah: Sheikh Fahim Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Government Relations (DGR) in Sharjah, welcomed Khaled AlZaabi, Consul-General of Kuwait in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, at the department's headquarters to discuss enhancing cultural and educational cooperation.

According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting aimed to strengthen bilateral cooperation and explore opportunities for deeper engagement between Sharjah and Kuwait. Khaled Khalil Al Farsi, Diplomatic Attach© at the Kuwaiti Consulate, and Sheikh Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasimi, Director of DGR, also participated in the discussions.

Sheikh Fahim highlighted the importance of the visit, noting it as a testament to the strong ties between Sharjah and Kuwait. He stressed that the meeting was a valuable opportunity to advance coordination and collaboration in mutually beneficial areas.

The talks included support for Kuwaiti students attending universities in Sharjah. The Consul General expressed his commitment to the welfare of students and their families during their time in the emirate. He acknowledged the educational environment in Sharjah and emphasized the importance of ongoing collaboration to improve services such as healthcare and insurance for students.

The visit concluded with Sheikh Fahim announcing plans for an official delegation from Sharjah to visit Kuwait later this year. This visit is part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral ties and explore new prospects for cooperation and knowledge exchange.
