Dubai: Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Dubai International Baja is scheduled from 20th to 23rd November, organized by the Emirates Motorsport Organisation (EMSO). The event marks the finale of the FIA World Baja Cup for cars and the FIM Baja World Cup for bikes and quads, closing the Middle Eastern motorsports season.

According to Emirates News Agency, the Dubai International Baja has earned a reputation as one of the toughest and most captivating events on the international off-road calendar. With registration closing in less than two weeks, anticipation is building for this significant motorsports event. This edition marks the ninth occurrence in its current Baja format, continuing a legacy that began with the Dubai Rally in 1979. The event is celebrated for its diverse terrain, offering unique challenges to global competitors.

The competition will commence at Dubai Festival City, with participants navigating the Hajar Mountains' natural beauty in Hatta during the Prologue, followed by two days among the desert dunes of Al Qudra. The event benefits from strategic partnerships with Dubai Government entities like Dubai Police, the Roads and Transport Authority, and Dubai Municipality, alongside support from Al-Futtaim Toyota.

Registration concludes on 6 November, after which the contenders aiming to follow champions like Nasser Al Attiyah, Konrad Dabrowski, and Abdulaziz Ahli will be announced. Khalid Ben Sulayem, President of EMSO, expressed enthusiasm about hosting the season finale in the UAE, noting the event's growing prestige and international draw.

He emphasized the crucial support from H.H. Sheikh Hamdan, whose patronage has bolstered the Baja's global status. The collaboration with Dubai Government and international bodies like FIA and FIM ensures a world-class event, combining safety with spectacle. The event's return to Dubai Festival City and the challenging terrains of Hatta promise an unforgettable experience for all involved.
