Kinshasa: The Ministry of Communication and Media in the Democratic Republic of the Congo announced on Friday that the death toll from the Ebola virus in the country had risen to 3,605. The total number of infections reached 7,475 as of 16th September, resulting in a fatality rate of 48.2 percent.

According to Emirates News Agency, the United Nations earlier stated that additional resources were necessary to contain the outbreak. The country is grappling with challenging humanitarian conditions, complicating efforts to combat the virus effectively.
