Education Ministry announced today in Sana’a the result of the basic general certificate exams for the academic year 1444 AH, with a success rate of 86.76 percent.
In a press statement, the Minister of Education, Yahya Al-Houthi, blessed the students for their success in the exams, explaining that the total number of students applying for the exams is 266,260 male and female students, of whom 258,21 male and female students attended, and 8,239 male and female students were absent.
He stated that 223,854 male and female students succeeded in the test, while 34,167 male and female students failed.
Al-Houthi confirmed the possibility of obtaining the results, starting today, by calling the fixed phone at the number “161” or calling and sending the seat number by “sms” message through the Yemen Mobile communications network to the same number.
While the Deputy Minister of Education, Khaled Jahader, reviewed the names of the Republic’s top 69 male and female students, starting with the student Afaf Salah Muhammad Salih Sakran, the first place with a success rate of 99.57 percent, and ending with the student Himyar Fares Abdul Muttalib Muhammad, the tenth place bis, with a success rate of 98.14 percent.
For his part, the Undersecretary of the Ministry for the Curriculum and Guidance Sector, Ahmed Al-Nono, touched on the efforts that were made to make the exams a success and the electronic correction mechanism within the framework of general automation, which limited the problems that previously confronted the exams.
