Eighth Arab Conference on Communication and Public Relations Opens in Dubai

Dubai: The eighth Arab Conference on Communication and Public Relations commenced today in Dubai, organized by the Arab Administrative Development Organisation (ARADO) of the League of Arab States. The event will continue until 17th December under the theme "Communication and Public Relations in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Opportunities and Challenges".

According to Emirates News Agency, the conference has drawn more than 200 participants from 16 Arab countries and features over 25 speakers, including experts and specialists in communication, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation. The aim is to address key contemporary trends and future challenges in the institutional communication sector.

Dr. Nasser Al Hatlan Al Qahtani, Director-General of ARADO, highlighted the significance of the conference as an Arab platform that unites leaders, experts, specialists, and academics to discuss major transformations in institutional communication. He emphasized the impact of artificial intelligence on communication strategies and the importance of employing this technology efficiently and ethically.

In his opening remarks, Al Qahtani stated that the conference seeks to share best practices and experiences in artificial intelligence technologies, including machine learning, deep learning, and large language models like ChatGPT. He noted that artificial intelligence plays a crucial role in analyzing big data, personalizing messages, improving services, supporting decision-making, and managing crises.

The conference sessions will cover several key themes, such as the impact of artificial intelligence on communication strategies, digital relations, artificial intelligence and ethics, and the future of public relations amid digital transformations. Al Qahtani acknowledged the participation of a distinguished group of Arab experts from 16 countries.

A memorandum of understanding was signed between ARADO and the UAE Journalists Association, aiming to enhance cooperation and exchange expertise in media and administrative development. The agreement includes exchanging technical and scientific expertise, information, studies, reports, and publications related to areas of mutual interest.

The organizing higher committee of the conference honored participating speakers and strategic sponsors, including the Emirates News Agency (WAM), for their contributions to the event's success.
