According to Emirates News Agency, between July and August, the airline transported over 8.6 million passengers, sustaining healthy seat load factors across its network. With the winter travel season on the horizon, Emirates is operating at approximately 93 percent of its pre-disruption capacity, witnessing a continued surge in demand. Notable markets like South Africa, Brazil, India, Portugal, and Egypt are showing booking trends that surpass last year's figures. The UAE remains a strong outbound market, with a noticeable increase in demand for premium travel.

Emirates' services to and from regions such as West Asia, Europe, the Middle East, the Americas, and Africa reported seat load factors exceeding 75 percent during the summer. Routes to Indonesia, C´te d'Ivoire, and the UK performed exceptionally well. Premium Economy demand saw significant growth across the network, with the Americas noting the highest increase.

Dubai experienced a surge in inbound traffic, with over half a million customers arriving on Emirates flights in late August alone, marking a 7 percent increase compared to the same period last year. The influx included residents returning for the new school year, new residents relocating to Dubai, and visitors opting for a late-summer break.

Throughout the summer, Emirates enhanced its customer proposition by offering one free date change for any destination and unlimited free date changes to Dubai. Additionally, the airline reduced refund fees for Dubai journeys and introduced a comprehensive travel cover including medical protection against conflict and airspace disruption.

Since January 2026, Emirates has added 18 aircraft to its fleet, including 11 new A350s and seven Boeing 777 freighters, with plans to receive an additional six A350s by December. The airline's network is set for further expansion heading into winter, introducing new destinations and increased frequencies. Helsinki will join the network on 1 October with the A350, which currently serves 30 destinations from Dubai, expanding to 36 by year-end.

Emirates is also increasing capacity on routes including Accra, Tokyo Narita, Ho Chi Minh City, and Hanoi with second daily services. Additionally, a daily service to Delhi will be upgraded to an A380.
