Flash Floods Result in 21 Fatalities in Morocco’s Safi

Safi: At least 21 people have lost their lives due to flash floods caused by torrential rains in Morocco's Safi province, located 330 kilometers south of Rabat. The heavy rains struck on Sunday, leading to significant destruction and loss of life, as reported by Moroccan authorities.

According to Emirates News Agency, the floods also resulted in injuries to 32 individuals, most of whom have since been discharged from the hospital. The sudden deluge inundated homes and shops in Safi's old town, swept away vehicles, and disrupted transportation by cutting off numerous roads in and around the region. Rescue operations are ongoing as authorities strive to manage the aftermath of the natural disaster.
